This Privacy Policy explains how Snap Markup ("we", "our") handles your information when you use the Snap Markup mobile application and the snapmarkup.com website. Snap Markup is published by Appculus Technology, Indore, India.
The short version
- Photos are processed locally on your device. We never upload them.
- We don't require an account, signup, or login to use any feature.
- The editor runs ad-free. We don't show banner, interstitial, or video ads.
- We don't sell, share, or rent personal information to third parties.
What we don't collect
Snap Markup does not collect, capture, or transmit:
- Your photos or any metadata read from them
- Your annotations, drawings, or text content
- Your contacts, calendar, location history, or browsing history
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone) — we never ask for them
What we do collect
We collect a minimal set of operational data so we can keep the app working:
- Crash & performance reports via Firebase Crashlytics. These contain stack traces and device model / OS version, never your photos or content.
- Anonymous app analytics via Firebase Analytics — feature-usage counts (e.g., "Bubble tool opened"), never the contents of those features.
- Push notification tokens via Firebase Cloud Messaging, only if you opt in to notifications, used for occasional product updates.
Permissions Snap Markup requests
- Photos — to read images you pick and save edited results back. Snap Markup never reads photos you didn't actively select.
- Camera — only when you tap the in-app camera capture button.
- Location — only when you use the Date & GPS Stamp tool, and only at the moment you stamp. Location data stays on your device.
- Notifications — optional, only used for major product updates.
Third-party services we use
- Firebase (Google) — Crashlytics, Analytics, Cloud Messaging
- Apple App Store / Google Play — purchase processing
- SwiftyStoreKit — App Store transaction validation (no personal data sent)
Children's privacy
Snap Markup is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can uninstall Snap Markup at any time to stop all data collection. To request deletion of any device-level analytics linked to your install ID, email support@appculus.com and we will remove it within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change. Material changes will also be announced inside the app.
